NOCN is the market leading provider of apprentice End Point Assessments in England, appointed to assess more apprenticeship standards than any other provider. NOCN is Government-registered, and truly independent to ensure robust and accurate assessments of apprentices.
We are now looking for suitably qualified people to become freelance contracted End Point Assessors, for the MOET apprenticeship standard.
We are particularly interested in anyone who can assess the Electrical, Mechanical or Electromechanical engineering.
Location: Remote/ Hybrid – travel required to sites
Hours: Worker Contract, Freelance
The Role:
The Freelance End Point Assessor role involves assessing candidates in the final stages of their apprenticeship. For Maintenance and Operations Engineering Technician, these elements consist of a Knowledge Assessment, Practical Observation and a Technical Interview.
NOCN will provide full training on our internal quality assurance processes and how to conduct these.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assessing the apprentice against the relevant Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours throughout the Work Based Project, Portfolio of Evidence and Professional Discussion/ Panel Interview in accordance with the End Point Assessment plan.
- Upload reports from the assessments in a timely manner and in line with NOCN\’s service level agreements.
- Prepare for assessments in a timely manner and be able to identify gaps in the apprentice\’s KSBs
- Be able to build a quick rapport with apprentices to ensure that they can perform their best within assessments
- Maintaining hands on CPD in their subject area to ensure knowledge is up to date.
- Represent NOCN in a professional manner when conducting assessments.
- Adhering to GDPR practices and ensuring all data is secure.
- Moderate other assessor\’s work in line with internal quality assurance procedures.
Role Requirements:
- Hold a L3 assessing qualification
- L4 qualification in a relevant engineering discipline
- 3 years post qualification experience
- Have relevant and current CPD with the plant maintenance industry
