External Quality Assurer (EQA) Midlands NOCN is seeking to recruit an External Quality Assurer (EQA) to work on a full-time permanent basis in the Midlands area. Purpose and Objectives: Ensure that products are delivered by centres in line with NOCN requirements including the relevant regulatory conditions, Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education criteria, sector body assessment strategies and product specifications. Ensure that each centre’s management systems including policies and procedures are applied appropriately to the delivery of all NOCN products within the centre. Provide a consistent service to centres by adhering to NOCN policies, procedures and guidance including the CASS Strategy. Support centres to achieve and maintain good and consistent practice in internal quality assurance, assessment and the conduct of examinations for all NOCN products. Identify and mitigate the risk of non-compliance and report malpractice to the Regulation and Compliance Team. Support business growth by undertaking new centre approval and the approval for existing centres to deliver new products. Promote a positive perception of NOCN to centres and learners. Carry out apprenticeships end-point assessment and internal quality assurance as requested by the Lead External Quality Assurer or Head of Assessment and Quality Assurance. Key requirements and criteria: The successful candidate will meet the following essential criteria: Level 2 in Literacy and Numeracy or equivalent. Educated to Level 4 or above. Committed to continuing professional development. Construction NVQ. Internal quality assurance and assessor qualification. Experience of working in a regulated environment. Sufficient, relevant and current experience of at least one construction trade. Experience of proactively evaluating and reviewing business procedures, process and systems. Experience of working productively across teams. Sufficient knowledge and a broad understanding of construction occupational work areas. Willingness to travel. The following criteria is desirable : External quality assurance qualification. Experience of undertaking external quality assurance of qualification delivery.
