Overview of the role
We are seeking a motivated and professional ESOL & Functional Skills Lead to join our Product Development team. Reporting to the Group Head of Products, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality services aligned with NOCN’s strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and reviewing of ESOL and Functional Skills qualifications.
- Lead the subject-specialist development, review and continuous improvement of ESOL and Functional Skills qualifications, resources and support materials.
- Design, develop and review products following NOCN Group processes and procedures to meet customer demand and expectations, and the requirements of external quality assurance regulatory and relevant sector bodies.
- Work with the exams manager to update assessment strategies in line with qualification changes.
- Ensure alignment with regulatory frameworks (e.g., Ofqual requirements, CEFR standards where applicable).
- Act as the organisations subject matter expert for both ESOL and Functional Skills.
About You
- Educated to Level 4.
- Commitment to continuing professional development.
- Significant experience in ESOL teaching, assessment, or qualification development.
- Strong understanding of language assessment principles and frameworks (e.g., CEFR).
- Experience working within an awarding organisation or similar regulated environment.
- Experience with digital or online assessment delivery.
