A rapidly expanding global manufacturing firm is seeking a highly organised and results-driven Warehouse Manager to oversee all aspects of our operation. In this role, you will lead a team of warehouse staff, implement best practices to optimise productivity, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Create and manage daily shipping lists; pick, count, and weigh products to fulfil customer orders.
- Maintain accurate inventory transactions in ERP systems related to shipping and packaging.
- Monitor incoming materials for overdue orders and take appropriate action.
- Backfill shipping or receiving positions as needed.
- Train and certify new associates in shipping, receiving, and material handling, including fork truck operation.
- Operate warehouse equipment as required.
- Ensure compliance with procedures and all warehouse-related quality standards.
- Maintain health, safety, and environmental standards in the warehouse.
- Liaise with the key internal teams and transport companies to ensure timely order fulfilment.
- Produce regular reports and statistics on warehouse performance.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
Successful Candidate Requirements
Essential:
- Proven track record in a similar warehouse management or distribution role.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Experience with computer systems and training others.
- Ability to visually inspect products and perform basic maths (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication).
Desirable:
- Fork Lift Truck licence.
- Experience with ERP or warehouse management systems.
- Knowledge of ISO9000 or similar quality standards.
- Experience in lean manufacturing or continuous improvement initiatives.
