A leading Manchester-based consumer finance group is looking for a Creative Copywriter to join their content team and help shape the voice of two of their brands. It's a hands-on role for a real writer. Someone who loves the craft, takes pride in detail, and can flex confidently between sharp performance copy and longer brand storytelling.
About the role
You'll work across two consumer finance brands, writing for real people navigating real money decisions. The tone is warm, clear and conversational, never corporate. The work is varied, fast-paced and creatively led, with full support from in-house SEO, design and compliance teams.
What you'll be doing:
- Writing stand-out copy across PPC, CRM, web, landing pages, customer journeys, chatbot copy and broader marketing campaigns
- Developing creative concepts and campaign messaging that hit both brand and commercial goals
- Switching confidently between two brand voices while keeping clarity and consistency
- Turning brand guidelines into distinctive, effective copy
- Collaborating closely with marketing, design, CRM and SEO teams
- Optimising copy based on insight, performance data and A/B testing
- Working with the compliance team to make sure copy is accurate and meets regulatory requirements
- Contributing thought-leadership pieces that involve research and conversations with internal experts
What we're looking for:
- A couple of years' experience in a marketing, brand or content environment
- A portfolio that shows range, ideally including both performance copy and concept work
- Strong writing across PPC, CRM and web
- A sharp eye for the basics — punctuation, structure, tone, accuracy
- The ability to adapt tone of voice across more than one brand
- A genuine love of writing and reading. The kind of person who reads in their spare time and writes for pleasure
- Confidence to bring ideas, humility to take feedback, resilience to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Nice to have:
- Experience working across multiple brands or audiences
- Experience helping develop brand guidelines
- Familiarity with data-led copy optimisation and A/B testing
- Experience in financial services or another regulated industry (not essential — full support available in-house)
The setup:
- Hybrid working, based at the MediaCity office in Salford
- In the office around once a week. Not because anyone is clock-watching, but because the best ideas turn up when people are together in person
- Fast-paced, fun, creatively led team. Real scope to shape the role around your strengths
