This is not a steady-state management job. You'll inherit a team of SMB salespeople and account managers and be asked to lift their performance fast: sharpen how they sell, rebuild pipeline discipline, raise the energy, and hold people properly accountable. The strong reps are already smashing it. Your job is to get the whole team selling like that, and to move quickly on the ones who won't. Our client is a rapidly growing media and activation platform, connecting brands with millions of consumers across the UK and US. SMB is the engine room of the business, the high-volume, fast-moving end where most deals are won. They need a hands-on sales leader to take it over and make it fly. What you'll own Lead the full SMB commercial team, both new-business salespeople and account managers, and drive the numbers day to day. Set a hard operating rhythm: daily activity, pipeline reviews, clear targets, and real accountability against them. Coach the team into confident outbound and outcome-based selling, not just dialling and ticking off KPIs. Rebuild and protect pipeline hygiene and forecasting in the CRM, and step in to close where reps need senior backup. Build the team as it scales: onboard new reps fast, get them productive quickly, and address underperformance early and decisively. Own SMB deal flow end to end, typically transactional deals up to around Β£20-30k for local and regional businesses. What we're looking for A genuine sales-team driver: high energy, hands-on, comfortable setting standards and pushing pace from week one. A proven track record managing high-volume or SMB sales teams and hitting collective targets. Strong on accountability: you coach hard, you give direct feedback, and you move quickly on people who aren't performing. You build teams fast and know how to instil fire, ownership and a performance culture. You understand outbound and outcome-based selling well enough to teach it and lift a team's confidence. Media, advertising, events or B2B sales experience is useful, but we care most about how you lead and sell. If you can learn the product, you can sharpen the team. This isn't; A polished, enterprise, long-cycle sales job, or a passive account-management seat. These are cold, fast, new-business sales to local and regional businesses.
