As Head Housekeeper, you will lead the daily operation of the housekeeping department, ensuring the highest standards are consistently delivered across all guest rooms and public areas. Working closely with the Executive Housekeeper, you will oversee the team’s performance, manage operational planning and drive continuous improvement across the department.
A strong leader and mentor, you will focus on developing your team while maintaining the quality, efficiency and attention to detail that define the Nobu guest experience.
- Support the Executive Housekeeper in the leadership and operational management of the housekeeping department
- Deputise for the Executive Housekeeper when required
- Supervise daily housekeeping operations to ensure efficiency across all floors
- Lead and brief the housekeeping team and agency colleagues at the start of each shift
- Manage labour planning and scheduling to ensure costs align with hotel occupancy and budget
- Monitor housekeeping budgets and support cost control across labour and departmental expenses
- Oversee inventories including linen, uniforms and departmental assets
- Support supplier management and review housekeeping products to maintain quality and efficiency
- Ensure all front of house and back of house areas are maintained to the highest standards
- Monitor guest feedback and internal audits, implementing action plans where required
- Lead training and development initiatives within the department
- Manage performance reviews, coaching and team development
- Support the development and maintenance of housekeeping procedures and standards
- Work closely with other departments to ensure smooth hotel operations
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety and statutory requirements
- Encourage a positive team culture that supports progression and retention
- Act as an ambassador for Nobu, embodying our values of Family, Crafted, Smile and Kokoro
