As Chief Engineer, you will lead the Engineering division with vision and precision – ensuring the hotel's infrastructure, safety and performance meet the highest standards of luxury hospitality. This is a pivotal leadership role, responsible for strategic planning, compliance, and the seamless operation of all building systems, while fostering a culture of safety, accountability and continuous improvement.

You will:

  • Oversee the maintenance and performance of all building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical and life‐safety.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) program to minimise downtime.
  • Ensure full compliance with UK Health & Safety legislation, Building Regulations and statutory testing requirements.
  • Manage the Engineering budget, including cost control, forecasting and CAPEX planning.
  • Lead vendor sourcing, contract management and procurement to ensure quality and cost‐effectiveness.
  • Oversee refurbishment, upgrade and sustainability projects aligned with ESG goals.
  • Maintain accurate records for all plant, equipment and statutory documentation.
  • Train, mentor and develop the Engineering team, promoting a culture of excellence and safety.
  • Drive energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives to reduce costs and environmental impact.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to deliver strategic objectives and uphold Nobu brand standards.
  • Respond promptly to emergencies and ensure continuity of service at all times.
  • Continuously identify and implement improvements to enhance operational efficiency and guest experience.
  • Perform any other duties required to support the smooth operation of the hotel.
