About You: We are looking for a senior designer to join our team immediately on a freelance/temporary basis with the opportunity for a permanent role, on our largest department, dresses. Reporting into the Head of Design for softs, you'll bring an incredible eye, strong organisational skills and ability to support designers and the wider softs team during our busiest period.

Day to day, you'll be responsible for:

  • Lead the design of seasonal dress collections from concept to final product
  • Research and interpret fashion trends, customer preferences, and competitor activity
  • Develop mood boards, sketches, and technical drawings (CADs)
  • Select fabrics, trims, colours, and embellishments in line with brand positioning
  • Work closely with buying, merchandising, and production teams to ensure designs are commercially viable
  • Oversee sample development, fittings, and product refinement
  • Provide clear design specifications and technical packs to manufacturers
  • Mentor and support junior designers, fostering creativity and development
  • Ensure timelines and critical path deadlines are met
