We’re looking for an experienced and confident Store Manager to lead our Spitalfields store on a 12 month maternity cover. As the driving force behind the store’s success, you’ll be responsible for the overall performance, culture, and day-to-day operations of the store while delivering an exceptional customer experience that reflects the values of Nobody’s Child.

A natural leader and brand ambassador, you’ll lead by example on the shop floor, inspiring your team to deliver outstanding service while championing our values of sustainability, inclusivity, and conscious fashion. You’ll take full ownership of store performance, ensuring sales targets, operational standards, and customer satisfaction are consistently achieved.

Thriving in a fast-paced retail environment, you’ll combine strong commercial awareness with a hands-on leadership approach. You’ll motivate and develop your team, drive store performance, and ensure every customer leaves with a memorable and inspiring shopping experience.

  • Partnering closely with the Head of Retail to support store strategy, operational excellence and long-term performance.
  • Owning key people processes, including recruitment, onboarding, scheduling and performance management, working collaboratively with head office and HR.
  • Supporting the leadership of store trading performance, analysing KPIs, targets and results, and taking proactive action to drive sales and improve performance.
  • Managing stock and product analysis with a strong commercial lens, identifying risks and opportunities and escalating insights to Head Office where needed.
  • Supporting Visual Merchandising in collaboration with the Creative and Merchandising teams to ensure brand standards and commercial impact are consistently met.
  • Partnering with the Marketing team to support in-store activations, events and local initiatives that drive footfall and community engagement.
  • Overseeing Health & Safety, compliance and operational standards to ensure a safe, well-run and legally compliant store environment.
  • Actively championing Nobody’s Child’s environmental and social responsibility commitments by embedding sustainable practices into daily operations and encouraging both customers and colleagues to make conscious choices.

This includes minimising waste, promoting responsible sourcing, supporting our circular economy initiatives, and encouraging customers and colleagues to make choices that align with our sustainability values. Every team member at NC plays a role in helping us reduce our environmental impact and create a positive legacy for our communities and the planet.

A genuine passion for responsible, sustainable fashion and a strong alignment with Nobody’s Child values, acting as a confident and authentic brand ambassador.

Proven experience inspiring and leading teams to deliver best-in-class customer service within a busy department store or boutique retail environment. Around 3+ years’ experience in a store management or senior leadership role, with a track record of driving sales, improving performance and developing high-performing teams.

Strong commercial awareness, with confidence analysing trade, KPIs and stock performance to inform decision-making. Excellent people leadership skills, including coaching, performance management and collaboration with HR partners.
