Overview
Nobody\'s Child is looking for an experienced Designer to join our Casuals Department in Outerwear & Tailoring, working alongside a team of womenswear designers. Reporting to the Design Manager, you will bring a fresh eye, drive newness, and elevate our responsible product, aligning with our strategic direction.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Design Manager to own and execute range development end-to-end from briefs, collaborating with in-house departments such as print, buying, and merchandising.
- Proactively drive research and present new ideas; identify department key items, key colours, new fabrics, and details in line with the NC customer.
- Keep sustainability at the forefront of development; research and evolve the brand to be market leaders.
- Source the newest sustainable fabrics and trims to elevate the range.
- Lead and participate in regular team meetings to present the range to heads of department and the CEO.
- Create technical design specifications for new garment developments and work with suppliers to prioritise fit and quality.
- Actively participate in fittings in collaboration with the buying and tech teams.
- Establish and build relationships with suppliers and fabric mills.
- Manage critical paths and demonstrate organisation and drive to ensure correct samples are delivered on time.
- Support wholesale packs alongside the Design Manager and assist with mending as needed.
- Assist other departments during key seasonal peak times when required.
- Contribute to environmental and social responsibility by integrating sustainable practices into everyday work; minimise waste, promote responsible sourcing, support circular economy initiatives, and encourage sustainable choices among customers and colleagues.

- Around 6 years\' experience in a casual-facing role for a fast-paced womenswear brand.
- Ability to multitask in a dynamic, growth-focused environment.
- Creative eye and passion for a responsible product.
- Legally authorised to work in the UK.
