Key Responsibilities
- Tax Compliance: Manage and review corporate tax returns (CT600s), trust returns, and personal self-assessment tax returns. Ensure all filings are completed accurately and submitted within HMRC deadlines. Oversee VAT, PAYE, and other tax-related filings where required.
- Tax Advisory: Provide proactive tax planning and advisory support to individuals and corporate clients. Advise on areas such as capital gains tax, inheritance tax, dividend planning, and business restructuring. Communicate complex tax matters clearly and effectively to clients.
- Client Management: Act as the main point of contact for a portfolio of clients. Build and maintain strong, trusted client relationships. Deliver excellent client service through clear communication and sound advice.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and support junior members of the tax team. Review and provide feedback on work prepared by others. Promote efficient workflows and uphold quality standards across tax processes.
- Technical Legislative Awareness: Keep up to date with current tax legislation and HMRC developments. Ensure both clients and internal teams are informed of relevant changes and their implications.
