A leading educational institute are searching for an Accounts Payable Assistant to join them on a 9 Month Contract.
Role: You will be responsible for managing and processing expenses, accurately inputting financial data, and ensuring timely payments to vendors and suppliers.
- Expense Management: Review, verify, and process expense reports submitted by employees. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to expenses. Collaborate with employees to clarify any discrepancies or required documentation. Maintain an organised filing system for all expense reports and supporting documents.
- Data Input and Record Keeping: Accurately input invoices and payment information into the accounting software. Maintain up-to-date records of accounts payable transactions, including invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports. Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner. Assist in the preparation of weekly payment runs and ensure all payments are processed on time.
- Supplier Relations: Serve as a point of contact for vendors related to invoices and payment inquiries. Build and maintain positive relationships with vendors to ensure clear communication. Conduct routine follow-ups on outstanding invoices.
- Reporting and Compliance: Assist in the preparation of accounts payable reports for management review. Help ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal control policies. Support annual audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
