A freight forwarding company are expanding their team and searching for a Customs Clearance Operator. Monday - Friday (9am-5:30pm) Felixstowe.
Within this role you will provide timely and accurate customs clearance & excellent customer service to our customers and partners. This includes processing customs entries in CDS, booking jobs into the system, completion of job costing / invoicing & query handling.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with your colleagues to ensure we maintain the highest possible operational performance and customer service.
- Develop constructive relationships with key customers and suppliers, assisting in resolving any concerns and implementing any corrective action where possible.
- Maintain effective communication and relationships with our partners.
- Ensure we have all the relevant information and instructions to complete customs clearance.
- Ensure customs clearances are completed accurately and in line with rules and regulations set out by HMRC.
- Ensure job files are booked into the system & completed in line with customer requirements.
- Provide effective communication both internally and externally.
- Ensure job files are costed and invoiced correctly to maintain accurate financial figures.
- Complete weekly & monthly end routines as directed.
