A client I am working with are hiring an Assistant Procurement Manager to join their team.
Contract: 12 Month Fixed Term Contract
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000
Do you want to make a difference to real people and real lives? Do you want to be a part of helping to shape the future of our Procurement service for a local government? You will lead a large number and variety of sourcing projects, working with stakeholders across these Councils and pushing forward collaborative procurement within the partner Authorities.
This role will involve:
- Working with key stakeholders across the organisation to understand the requirements for goods within each spend area.
- Negotiating commercial and contractual terms for contracts up to £25 million.
- Leading the development, maintenance and implementation of all strategies.
- Working closely with Senior Managers regarding commercial and financial viability offering different options for each project.
- Managing suppliers ensuring they are achieving the performance standards set out in the contract.
- Continuous improvements within the organisation.
- Leading projects and tenders.
- Ad-hoc duties.
Your Experience:
- Experience within a similar role.
- Experience managing contracts.
- Understanding of Procurement law.
