I am working with an international freight company who are searching for a Finance Manager to join their growing UK Office. This will be a hands-on position, which will be responsible for the team and business growth.
Responsibilities:
- Core Accounting & Bookkeeping duties
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
- Assist in improving cash collection processes
- Financial Reporting & Controls
- Management Accounting - Accruals, Journals, Prepayments
- Budgets, cashflow analysis
- Post and reconcile all transactions in the accounting system
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Prepare and maintain the general ledger
- Ensure proper documentation and filing of financial records
- Bank & Balance Sheet Reconciliations
- Perform regular bank reconciliations
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
- Payroll Management
- Process payroll accurately and on time
- Ensure correct calculation of salaries, deductions, and benefits
- Manage payroll taxes, statutory deductions, and filings
- Maintain payroll records and ensure confidentiality
- Credit Control (Initial Stage)
- Support year-end accounts and liaise with external accountants/auditors
- Support management with financial insights and ad-hoc analysis
- Improve financial processes and internal controls as the business grows
- Familiar with tax (VAT) and custom duty
- Experience within a similar role, dealing with end-to-end finance duties
