Location: Basildon (Office based)
Hours: Monday to Friday 8.45 - 5pm
Basic Salary: Β£30k +
Our client is looking for an individual who can add extra quality to their already highly skilled team. You must possess previous ocean export experience, with typical daily duties of liaising with clients/suppliers/partners, bookings, quotes, exports entries and producing bills of lading/documents as required on behalf of clients.
The successful candidate must be proactive, organised, and punctual, able to act on their own initiative while being actively engaged with the rest of a team. A working knowledge of air/road freight/cross trades too will be preferable although training will be given if required.
Key Tasks:
- Timely and effective communication with Customers, partners, and internal departments via e-mail/telephone.
- Liaise with clients/suppliers/partners to ensure customer commitments are delivered upon.
- Effective monitoring of shipments.
- Pro-active problem solving with customers and colleagues if/when issues arise.
- Ensure consignments are rated correctly allowing invoices to be raised in an accurate and timely manner.
- Provide KPI and reports both externally and internally where required.
- General Day to Day administrative duties.
Knowledge & experience of the following:
- Incoterms
- Quotations β Sea & Air (calculating both LCL & FCL Air & Sea)
- EUR1βs
- Certificates of Origin β local and ABCC Chamber as well as legalisation
- L/C experience β preferable although not essential
- Export Customs Declarations
- Familiar with Word and Excel
