We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join a growing finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised individual who enjoys working with numbers and supporting the day-to-day financial operations.
The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining sales ledger, purchase ledger, credit control and processing transactions.
Key Responsibilities- Processing purchase invoices and matching them to purchase orders.
- Managing supplier statements and resolving account discrepancies.
- Assisting with sales ledger duties, including raising invoices and monitoring customer payments.
- Processing bank transactions and performing bank reconciliations.
- Supporting credit control activities and following up on outstanding payments.
- Preparing payment runs and maintaining accurate records.
- Maintaining financial databases and filing systems.
- Responding to finance-related queries from suppliers, customers, and internal departments.
- Support the Finance Manager with ad-hoc duties.
- Providing administrative support to the finance team as required.
- Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant, or similar accounting role.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience in Quickbooks is desirable but not essential.
