Noble Recruiting are proud to be supporting a well-established aerospace manufacturer in Southend-on-Sea with the appointment of an experienced Quality Manager. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing Quality Management Systems, inspection operations and full compliance to aerospace standards, including ISO 9100 and AS9100.
The Role
- Maintain and monitor Quality Management Systems in line with aerospace standards
- Act as company’s Management Representative for all quality matters
- Lead and manage the Inspection and Test departments
- Oversee calibration, testing, qualification and associated approvals
- Create and approve FAIR and LAIR documentation
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9100, AS9100 and EASA requirements
- Conduct internal and external audits
- Maintain calibrated equipment readiness across manufacturing
- Train teams on VisualFAIR software and approval requirements
- Drive continuous improvement within the Quality function
- Participate in management review and production meetings
Person Specification
- Proven experience within the aerospace sector
- Strong working knowledge of ISO 9100, AS9100 and EASA standards
- First Article Inspection experience including FAIR and LAIR
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Qualified to conduct internal and external audits
- Strong leadership capability with line management experience
- High attention to detail and strong numeracy skills
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
