Noble Recruiting are working with an established engineering company in West Horndon, Essex, who are looking for an experienced Field Service Mechanical Engineer to join their team. This role would suit a hands-on Mechanical Engineer, Mechanical Fitter or Field Service Engineer with strong experience working on rotating equipment, pumps, turbines, gearboxes, valves, conveyors and heavy engineering machinery.
Duties will include:
- Mechanical maintenance, repairs and overhauls
- Fault finding and diagnosis on rotating equipment
- Working on pumps, turbines, gearboxes, valves and associated plant
- Using measuring equipment including micrometres, DTI’s and alignment tools
- Completing service reports and condition assessments
- Supporting planned projects, outages and site work
- Working independently on customer sites when required
Requirements:
- Experience as a Mechanical Engineer, Mechanical Fitter or Field Service Engineer
- Strong heavy engineering or rotating equipment experience
- Knowledge of pumps, turbines, gearboxes, valves or similar machinery
- Fault finding, repair, installation or commissioning experience
- Full UK driving licence
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Flexibility to travel and work away from home when needed
- Availability for call out rota
- Ability to pass security clearance
- Power generation, pump or turbine experience would be highly desirable.
