As Business Development Manager, you will lead business growth across an established and expanding customer base. You will be confident speaking with:
- Plant Managers
- Engineering Managers
- Maintenance Managers
- Outage Managers
- Procurement Teams
- Senior decision makers
You will create and deliver growth strategies, identify new opportunities and strengthen the company’s position within the power generation market. The role also includes managing and developing one direct report within the business development team.
Key Responsibilities
- Build strong relationships across power generation, energy and industrial services.
- Generate new opportunities for engineering services, outages, shutdowns, maintenance contracts, labour supply and technical services.
- Develop existing accounts and identify further commercial opportunities.
- Create strategic account plans for key clients and target customers.
- Lead commercial discussions, contract negotiations, bid submissions and proposals.
- Represent the business at industry events, conferences and networking opportunities.
- Work closely with operational teams to support successful project delivery.
- Manage and support one business development team member.
- Deliver agreed revenue, margin and growth targets.
Experience Required
Industry experience is essential. You will need proven experience within power generation, power stations, energy, industrial maintenance, heavy engineering or engineering services.
