Location: Basildon, Essex
Working Hours: Monday - Friday, Core hours are 09.00 – 17.30. You will also be responsible for a secondary unit on site, with core warehouse hours of 06.00 – 20.00 (2 shifts involved). Flexibility is needed to support and cover absences where required.

Permanent Position
The Warehouse Operations Manager will oversee all operations performance across two freight forwarding warehouse facilities. Responsibilities include:
- Lead warehouse & logistics across two facilities ensuring consistent service levels, SOPs and compliance.
- Provide hands-on operational support and balance resources between the sites.
- Oversee receiving, breakdown, storage and dispatch of air, sea and road freight cargo.
- Ensure correct handling of general cargo, hazardous goods, and temperature controlled items.
- Maintain compliance with aviation security and industry specific regulations (IATA, HMRC, CAA).
- Monitor KPIs.
- Manage inbound & outbound transport planning including haulage scheduling, carrier relationships and last-mile delivery.
- Optimise freight costs.
- Oversee stock accuracy.
- Lead and develop the warehouse & logistics team.
- Manage staffing levels, shift patterns, training and performance reviews.
Experience required:
- Proven experience in warehouse or logistics management within freight forwarding.
- Knowledge of IATA, CAA, HMRC and other regulatory frameworks.
- Ability to use a WMS/ERP System.
- MUST HAVE 5 YEARS EMPLOYMENT WITH NO GAPS due to CAA Regulations. Specific dates required for all employment in the last 5 years minimum.
