Bristol (hybrid/remote) | 1 day per week | £300–£400/day DOE | 3 months initially | Start ASAP

We’re looking for a mid-weight to senior SEO Specialist to support delivery during a busy growth period at Noble. This is a hands-on, content-led role for someone comfortable jumping straight into audits, strategy and execution, backed by strong technical fundamentals.

This is initially a 3-month contractor role at one day a week, with the option to increase hours after 90 days based on performance and team fit.

About Noble

Noble is a performance-led digital agency working with ambitious brands across a wide range of sectors, from FinTech to Travel, enterprise to small SMEs. We’re part of a global network, working closely with Noble Studios in the US, while maintaining a boutique, close-knit and collaborative team culture in our Bristol office. Our SEO work is embedded within wider strategy, content and development teams, ensuring what we produce actually gets implemented.

The role

You’ll act as an extension of our core SEO team, getting stuck into live client work from day one. The focus is firmly on content-led SEO, supported by technical insight. Your work may include:

  • Reviewing and optimising content for organic performance
  • Supporting keyword research, intent mapping and content planning
  • Advising on E-E-A-T and content quality signals
  • Content audits and content refresh strategies
  • SEO Website Migration Strategies
  • Contributing to technical audits and diagnostics
  • Identifying and prioritising technical issues with our tech team
  • Translating technical insights into clear, client-ready recommendations
  • Joining relevant team and client meetings

How you’ll work

You’ll operate with a high level of autonomy, while working closely with our SEO and CX teams on task assignment and prioritisation. All tasks will be clearly described, with templates provided for deliverables and onboarding for each task type to ensure alignment. QA is handled internally, but you’ll be trusted to manage and deliver your own workload to a high standard. You’ll be comfortable working with tools such as GSC, GA4, Screaming Frog and SEMrush. Our client base is WordPress-heavy, though not exclusively.

What we’re looking for

  • Mid-weight to senior SEO experience, with agency or consultancy background
  • Strong content SEO expertise with confidence across technical fundamentals
  • A pragmatic, delivery-focused mindset
  • Comfortable working autonomously
  • A clear communicator who enjoys being part of a team, not operating in a silo
  • Very experienced with SEO and Analytics tools (including Semrush, Google Analytics, and Google Search Console)

This role is ideal for freelancers, consultants or parents returning to work who want flexibility without sacrificing meaningful, high-quality SEO projects.

What success looks like

You’ll deliver work that doesn’t require redoing, build trust within the team quickly, and become a genuine extension of our SEO function that we want to continue working with. Over time, this leads naturally to increased responsibility and hours.

A few final notes

At present, this is a contractor role only. You’ll be expected to integrate fully with our team and ways of working. Office access is included, with flexible working supported. No recruiters, please.
