Please Read The Essential Requirements Before Applying
We urgently need experienced female Live-in Care Assistants who can drive.
This position is open to female applicants only because the client has specifically requested a female care professional due to the personal and intimate nature of the care being provided. This is an occupational requirement permitted under Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010.
You must hold a full UK driving licence and be confident and happy to drive the client wherever needed, including to appointments, activities, shopping trips and social outings.
You will not necessarily need to provide or use your own car, as a suitable vehicle may be available at the placement. However, being willing and able to drive the client is an essential requirement.
How live-in care works
This is a genuine live-in care position. During each placement, you will live in the client’s home from Monday to Sunday, with your own private room and appropriate daily breaks.
For our ongoing care packages, you must be able to complete a minimum two-week placement without returning home, normally working a two weeks on, two weeks off rotation.
We occasionally have one-week respite placements available, but these are not guaranteed. Applicants must therefore be prepared to work a minimum of two consecutive weeks for our ongoing packages.
You can be based anywhere in the UK, provided you are willing and able to travel to the client’s home. We pay agreed travel costs and mileage associated with getting to and from your placement.
In addition to your weekly pay, you will receive a £40 food allowance.
