Job Description
As a Live-in Care Assistant, you’ll support your client to live safely, comfortably and independently in their own home.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Providing personal care and support with daily routines
- Offering companionship and emotional support
- Driving the client to appointments, activities and social outings
- Planning, preparing and cooking suitable meals
- Supporting with medication where required
- Shopping and completing light household tasks
- Helping the client remain as active and independent as possible
- Providing reassurance and support throughout the placement
You must be comfortable in the kitchen and able to plan and cook a range of nutritious everyday meals based on the client’s needs, dietary requirements and preferences.
Qualifications
What we’re looking for:
- Be female, due to the client’s personal care requirements
- Hold a full UK driving licence
- Be confident and willing to drive the client as required
- Have at least six months of care experience gained in the UK
- Be able to work a minimum two-week live-in placement without returning home
- Be willing to travel to placements across the UK
- Be confident planning, preparing and cooking meals
- Have the right to work in the UK without employer sponsorship
- Be compassionate, resilient, reliable and comfortable working independently
