A leading specialist IP boutique is looking to appoint an ambitious IP Transactions Associate (NQ-5 PQE) to join its highly regarded team.
This is an outstanding opportunity for a commercially minded lawyer to work alongside recognised experts on sophisticated domestic and cross-border IP transactions, advising an impressive client base ranging from innovative technology businesses and life sciences companies to multinational organisations.
The role offers early responsibility, genuine client exposure and the chance to develop within a firm renowned for the depth of its intellectual property expertise.
The successful candidate will advise on the full spectrum of IP transactional matters, including licensing, ownership and chain of title issues, IP due diligence, commercial contracts and the IP aspects of corporate transactions.
The work spans drafting and negotiating a wide variety of agreements, supporting complex strategic projects involving UK and international IP rights, advising on emerging issues including artificial intelligence, data protection and cyber security, and working closely with clients to deliver pragmatic, commercially focused solutions.
Exposure to life sciences, technology, energy or other innovation-led sectors would be advantageous, but the breadth and quality of the work on offer is the real attraction.
To be considered for this role you should be practising for either a leading international firm or respected IP boutique in the City.
A strong academic background combined with strong technical knowledge of intellectual property and commercial contracts, excellent drafting skills and a genuine enthusiasm for this rapidly evolving area of law are essential.
Candidates at NQ level must have completed a dedicated IP seat during their training contract.
Target hours are very reasonable and the culture of the firm is very welcoming and supportive.
