Overview
The firm\’s market-leading Competition & Antitrust practice is looking to hire a mid to senior associate (c.3-6pqe) to their highly regarded City team. They advise on the full range of competition law matters, including major cartel investigations, complex merger control cases, strategic transactions and high-value competition litigation. The team in London is particularly focused on CMA and NSIA work and frequently appears in proceedings before the Competition Appeal Tribunal and the High Court. Working in close collaboration with colleagues across the firm\’s international network, the team also leads on significant cross-border and EU regulatory matters. This position offers the opportunity to advise leading clients across a range of industries and to be involved in complex, often precedent-setting, competition mandates.
To be considered for this role, you should have relevant post qualified experience in both UK and EU competition law, gained at a leading competition practice. Candidates with experience in investigations, merger control, foreign direct investment, advisory matters and competition litigation will be particularly well-regarded. With more palatable target billable hours than most without sacrificing the calibre of work this role could suit some from the magic circle or a US firm wanting to continue working on high profile matters but looking for an improvement in work life balance
