Overview

Our client is actively seeking an arbitrator to work alongside a \’named\’ partner with a strong reputation for excellence.

Experience and Practice

The Group has extensive experience in multi-jurisdiction disputes, with a focus on high-value and complex international arbitration in the energy, infrastructure and construction, telecommunications, aviation and financial sectors.

The Team conduct international arbitration disputes often over JOAs, the construction of and off-take from refineries and petrochemical plants, as well as rig, energy trading and transport, and coal and nuclear power plant disputes.

They also regularly represent clients in other infrastructure, shareholder and financial disputes.

They conducts arbitrations under the rules of all of the major institutions and rules including the LCIA, the ICC, DIAC, the Swiss, Stockholm, Hong Kong and UNCITRAL Rules. They also represented both investors and states in BIT and ICSID cases.

Qualifications and language

  • Extensive experience in multi-jurisdiction disputes and high-value, complex international arbitration across energy, infrastructure and construction, telecommunications, aviation and financial sectors.
  • Experience in arbitrations over JOAs, refinery and petrochemical plant projects, rig operations, energy trading and transport, and coal and nuclear power disputes.
  • Represent clients in infrastructure, shareholder and financial disputes.
  • Experience conducting arbitrations under major institutional rules (LCIA, ICC, DIAC, Swiss, Stockholm, Hong Kong, UNCITRAL); representation of investors and states in BIT and ICSID cases.
  • Additional language skills are helpful (Arabic and French).
