We are recruiting on behalf of a leading global organisation within the animal health and pet nutrition sector for an experienced PVA Manager to lead the Professional Veterinary Affairs function across the UK & Ireland.

The Opportunity

As PVA Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping veterinary engagement, driving scientific credibility, and supporting sustainable commercial growth across the UK & Ireland.

You'll be responsible for building strong relationships with veterinary professionals, universities, corporate groups, and key opinion leaders, while leading a talented team dedicated to delivering technical excellence and outstanding customer support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the UK & Ireland Professional Veterinary Affairs strategy in line with European objectives.
  • Lead, coach and develop a multidisciplinary team, including Professional Consulting Veterinarians, a Veterinary Nurse Specialist and Customer Service professionals.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with veterinary corporates, academic institutions, professional bodies and key opinion leaders.
  • Ensure the scientific accuracy of technical and marketing communications.
  • Oversee the national veterinary helpline and drive veterinary education through congresses, seminars and digital engagement initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing and Commercial teams to align veterinary strategy with business priorities.
  • Establish clear objectives, monitor KPIs and drive continuous improvement across the function.
  • Represent the business as a trusted scientific leader within the veterinary profession.

What We're Looking For

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine or an equivalent recognised veterinary qualification with practice experience.
  • Several years' experience within a commercial veterinary industry role.
  • Strong commercial awareness with practical business or practice management experience.
  • Proven leadership experience, including managing and developing high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
  • MBA or recognised board certification in Internal Medicine or Nutrition would be desirable.
  • Established network across the veterinary profession, including associations, specialist societies or academic institutions.
