Veterinary Territory Manager (Farm & Companion Animal)

Field-Based: Scotland & Northern Ireland

Are you already working in veterinary sales and looking for your next challenge? Or do you have a strong scientific background, an understanding of the farming sector and the ambition to build a career in veterinary pharmaceuticals?

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join an established, family-owned animal health business with a reputation for looking after its people and retaining them for the long term.

With an expanding product portfolio, fresh ambition and significant opportunities for growth, this is an excellent time to become part of a business where your contribution will genuinely make a difference.

The Opportunity

As Territory Manager for Northern Ireland and Scotland, you’ll take ownership of a territory with considerable untapped commercial potential. Working across both farm and companion animal markets, you’ll represent an established portfolio of veterinary medicines while supporting the introduction and growth of new products.

Your customers will primarily include veterinary practices and buying groups, with a focus on strengthening existing relationships and developing new business. You’ll have the freedom to manage your territory, supported by an approachable management team that values initiative, collaboration and results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and develop relationships with veterinary practices, buying groups and distributors.
  • Drive sales growth across farm and companion animal pharmaceutical portfolios.
  • Identify new business opportunities and maximise existing customer relationships.
  • Develop strong technical product knowledge to confidently engage with veterinary professionals.
  • Take ownership of territory planning, sales performance and customer engagement.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and technical specialists to support commercial growth.

The position involves travel to Northern Ireland approximately once every six weeks, ideally for a full working week.

About You

We’re open to candidates from a range of backgrounds, and previous veterinary pharmaceutical sales experience isn’t essential. You could be an established animal health sales professional, a veterinary nurse looking for your first non-clinical opportunity, or someone with a scientific or agricultural background keen to develop a commercial career.

What matters most is your attitude, ambition and ability to build relationships.

You’ll ideally bring:

  • A good understanding of farming and the livestock sector, gained through education or experience.
  • A scientific or animal health background would be advantageous.
  • Experience in a sales or account management role would be highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Commercial awareness and a genuine drive to achieve results
  • The ability to learn and communicate technical product information.
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach and confidence working independently.

Why Consider This Opportunity?

  • A company people stay with – A family-owned business with excellent staff retention and a genuinely supportive culture.
  • An exciting time to join – An expanding product portfolio and ambitious plans for growth.
  • Autonomy with support – Freedom to manage your territory, backed by approachable leadership and technical expertise.
  • Real opportunity to make an impact – Significant untapped potential across the territory, with scope to develop your career.

What’s on Offer?

  • Basic salary up to approximately £48,000 DOE.
  • Performance-related bonus.
  • Company car.
  • Healthcare and pension.
  • Laptop and mobile phone.
  • Business expenses covered through a company card.
  • Supportive management and a collaborative working environment.
