The Opportunity
As Key Account Manager, you’ll take ownership of key customer relationships across the UK, working with corporates, buying groups, and wholesalers. You’ll play a pivotal role in driving revenue, expanding existing accounts, and identifying new business opportunities. This is a remote role with regular travel to clients, industry events, and occasional overnight stays.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key accounts
- Develop and execute strategic account plans to achieve and exceed sales targets
- Identify and deliver upselling and cross-selling opportunities
- Conduct regular business reviews and provide tailored solutions to clients
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and long-term agreements
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure excellent service delivery
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and pricing developments
- Produce accurate sales forecasts, reports, and market insights
- Support wider sales team objectives and contribute to overall business growth
About You
- Proven strong track record in veterinary sales, key account management, or similar
- Strong network within the UK veterinary industry, including corporates and buying groups
- Commercially astute with solid financial understanding
- Excellent negotiation, influencing, and relationship-building skills
- Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving abilities
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to interpret and act on insights
- Highly organised, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities
- Comfortable working independently in a field-based role
- Proficient with CRM systems and Microsoft Office
