Our client is looking for an ambitious, solution-oriented

Business Development Manager to take over the Scotland Region.

Salary

  • £40,000 - £50,000

The Role

  • Drive Territory Growth: Develop and execute a robust territory business plan to achieve sales and profit targets across an industry-leading generic portfolio.
  • Consultative
  • Relationship

Management: Build deep, high-value partnerships with veterinary practices and trade accounts through consultative selling and bespoke commercial solutions.

  • Commercial Negotiation: Design and implement high-impact promotions and negotiate performance-based commercial rebate schemes for key accounts.
  • Technical Value-Add: Educate and support veterinary teams by delivering technical presentations, regional training events, and \"Lunch & Learn\" CPD sessions.
  • Data-Driven Execution: Utilise CRM insights to track territory performance, monitor market trends, and feed intelligence back to head office to shape future product strategies.

The Successful Candidate

  • Proven sales experience within the veterinary, animal health, or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills, business acumen, and a knack for analysing sales data to spot hidden opportunities.
  • A highly credible communicator who can effortlessly interface with independent vet surgeons, practice managers, and corporate buyers.
  • The curiosity and capability to master a large, diverse product portfolio (an Animal Science degree or AMTRA/NOAH qualification is a distinct advantage, but not essential).
  • You must reside within the territory and be able and willing to be on the road 4 days a week, with the occasional need to travel outside of the territory.
