We’re currently working with a long-established, family-run business with over 100 years in the industry. Proudly Lancashire-based, they manufacture and supply high-quality products across the UK and internationally. This really is a rare opportunity — this role hasn’t been available for 8 years. The business is now looking for a Retail Manager who wants to join the family, take ownership of the store, and play a key part in driving future growth.
Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, and develop a close-knit retail team
- Bring new ideas to increase sales, footfall, and customer loyalty
- Drive sales through excellent customer service and product knowledge
- Manage stock, merchandising, and day-to-day store operations
- Build strong relationships within the local community
Qualifications
- Proven experience in pet or animal feed retail
- Someone who gets a real buzz from growing sales and improving performance
- A natural leader with a hands‑on approach
- Passionate about customer experience
- Commercial, proactive, and full of ideas
- An existing SQP qualification or the desire/ability to gain one
