Our exclusive client, a leading provider of advanced farming technology, is seeking a skilled and self-motivated Field Engineer to join their service team. This hands-on, field-based position focuses on delivering reliable support to agricultural customers across Lancashire, working directly with innovative on-farm equipment. You will play a key role in ensuring essential operations run smoothly and efficiently by providing technical support and maintenance. Whether you have previously worked in agriculture or have a strong technical background with an interest in the industry, this is your chance to build a long-term career with a forward-thinking company.
Your day-to-day responsibilities:
- Performing maintenance and repairs on robotic and automated agricultural equipment
- Diagnosing and resolving faults
- Responding to breakdowns and participating in an on-call rota (one in three weekends)
- Supporting equipment installations, product demonstrations and follow-up technical visits
- Working alongside the sales team to provide support and technical guidance in the field
- Managing your own schedule and making practical decisions around travel and priorities
Candidate Requirements:
- Experience in maintenance or service work, ideally within agricultural, mechanical, electrical or hydraulic systems
- Skilled in diagnostics and fault-finding
- A strong interest in agriculture and emerging technology
- Good judgment in planning and decision-making to support efficiency and customer satisfaction
- Able to work independently and manage a field-based workload
- Strong communication skills with a proactive, customer-focused approach
- A full UK driving licence is required
Package Offered:
- Up to £40K base salary
