On the Road - Lancashire-Based

Our exclusive client, a leading provider of advanced farming technology, is seeking a skilled and self-motivated Field Engineer to join their service team. This hands-on, field-based position focuses on delivering reliable support to agricultural customers across Lancashire, working directly with innovative on-farm equipment. You'll play a key role in ensuring essential operations run smoothly and efficiently by providing technical support and maintenance. Whether you've previously worked in agriculture or have a strong technical background with an interest in the industry, this is your chance to build a long-term career with a forward-thinking company.

Your day-to-day responsibilities:

  • Performing maintenance and repairs on robotic and automated agricultural equipment
  • Diagnosing and resolving faults
  • Responding to breakdowns and participating in an on-call rota (one in three weekends)
  • Supporting equipment installations, product demonstrations and follow-up technical visits
  • Working alongside the sales team to provide support and technical guidance in the field
  • Managing your own schedule and making practical decisions around travel and priorities

Candidate Requirements:

  • Experience in maintenance or service work, ideally within agricultural, mechanical, electrical or hydraulic systems
  • Skilled in diagnostics and fault-finding
  • A strong interest in agriculture and emerging technology
  • Good judgment in planning and decision-making to support efficiency and customer satisfaction
  • Able to work independently and manage a field-based workload
  • Strong communication skills with a proactive, customer-focused approach
  • A full UK driving licence is required

Package Offered:

  • Up to £40K base salary
