Shift Pattern: 4 days per week, 36 hours - Fully Flexible depending on the business needs.

Salary: £37,185.71.

Location: Based at North Scarle with travel required to other Noble Foods Sites.

What are we looking for? We are looking to recruit enthusiastic and passionate CPC Driver Trainer who will be responsible for the training and development of our fleet of Noble Foods HGV drivers.

Training & Induction

  • Develop and deliver comprehensive induction programs for all new HGV drivers to ensure understanding of company policies, procedures, and performance expectations.
  • Facilitate structured training sessions on new equipment, vehicle features, legislation updates, and fuel-efficient driving techniques.
  • Deliver RTITB-accredited driver CPC and forklift training, ensuring adherence to RTITB standards.

Driver Assessment & Compliance

  • Develop and implement a driver assessment and review program, conducting assessments at least every six months to DSA/RTITB standards.
  • Monitor driver competence and maintain accurate training records and assessment data in collaboration with the HR team.
  • Conduct site health and safety audits and support FTA (Freight Transport Association) site visits to identify training and compliance improvements.

Performance Monitoring & Development

  • Analyse driver data, including accident trends and fuel consumption, to identify training needs and implement corrective action plans.
  • Maintain and review a six-month training schedule in Outlook, ensuring visibility and delivery against the plan.
  • Support continuous improvement by updating training materials and methods to reflect best practice and regulatory changes.

Reporting & Administration

  • Maintain detailed and compliant records of all training activities, assessments, and individual driver performance.
  • Prepare periodic performance and progress reports, highlighting achievements, gaps, and action plans.
  • Coordinate with HR to ensure each driver’s training matrix and documentation are current and stored in personal files.

Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Conduct and document health and safety assessments on farms and distribution sites.
  • Support initiatives to reduce accident levels and increase overall driver safety and efficiency.
  • Ensure full compliance with company and legal transport requirements, implementing updates promptly.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • 100% completion of induction and assessment programs according to schedule.
  • Documented improvements in driver performance and reduction in accident rates.
  • Accurate and up-to-date training records and compliance with RTITB and DSA standards.
  • Delivery of regular, actionable driver performance reports within required timeframes.
