Shift Pattern: 3 week pattern

Reporting to the Lead Engineer, you’ll be based at our Thornton Packing centre, playing a critical role in maintaining and improving our automated production environment. You’ll respond to breakdowns, deliver preventative maintenance, and collaborate with teams across the site to drive performance, efficiency, and continuous improvement. Working hours are on a rotating shift pattern (week 1: will be 5am-1.30pm with week 2: 6am-2.30pm and week 3: 1.00pm-9.30pm) Monday to Friday with 30 minutes off for lunch each day.

  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and servicing
  • Supporting installation and commissioning of new equipment
  • Driving improvements in OEE, machine performance, and reliability
  • Working cross-functionally to enhance production standards
  • Championing Health & Safety, GMP, and site hygiene standards

Multi-skilled engineer with Electrical and/or Mechanical qualifications (City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3+)

Minimum 3 years’ experience in an automated production environment

Experience in FMCG, food, or brewery sectors (preferred)
