Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday / 09:00 - 17:00 / 37.5 hours p/w

What are we looking for?

We are seeking a Site Supply & Planning Coordinator to support and strengthen the day‑to‑day operation of site planning across two manufacturing locations within a chilled and frozen FMCG environment on a 6 month Fixed Term Contract. The role plays an active part in short‑term supply and production planning, coordinating materials availability, supporting transport and order management, and ensuring plans remain aligned with site capacity and space constraints. Working closely with the Planning Manager and wider operations teams, this role helps maintain accurate, achievable, and well‑coordinated plans, providing stability, visibility, and continuity to the planning process. It is a hands‑on role suited to someone who enjoys working close to operations, spotting issues early, and supporting effective execution in a fast‑moving food manufacturing environment.

Role Purpose

To support the effective operation of the site planning function by actively managing short‑term supply and production planning activities, maintaining clear visibility of materials, capacity, and space, and supporting transport and order management. The role plays a key part in keeping plans accurate, coordinated, and achievable, enabling timely, well‑informed planning decisions and smooth execution across the sites. This position provides stability and continuity to the planning process and supports delivery of service, efficiency, and growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support short‑term supply and production planning across two sites
  • Coordinate ingredient and packaging availability against the plan
  • Maintain 0–7 / 0–14 day planning visibility and accuracy
  • Identify and highlight capacity, space, and supply constraints early
  • Support order review, dispatch planning, and transport execution
  • Keep plans aligned to operational capability and site priorities
  • Prepare and maintain planning data, logs, and exception visibility
  • Work closely with Operations and Planning Manager to support execution

  • Short‑term plans remain accurate, achievable, and aligned to site capability
  • Materials and capacity risks are identified and escalated early
  • Reduced last‑minute plan changes and operational surprises
  • Strong collaboration with Operations, Planning, and Logistics

Key Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Experience in a planning, supply chain, or manufacturing coordination role.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple data inputs.
  • Good communication skills and ability to elevate issues clearly.
  • Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, reactive environment.
  • Confidence using planning systems, spreadsheets, and operational data.

Desirable

  • FMCG manufacturing experience (food preferred).
  • Exposure to chilled and/or frozen operations.
  • Understanding of basic planning principles (capacity, materials, constraints).
  • Desire to develop into a broader planning role over time.
