The Human & Organizational Performance Coach plays a critical role in embedding Human and Organizational Performance (HOP) principles at the frontline. Working closely with the Human & Organizational Performance Program Lead, this role supports operational teams by reinforcing cultural principles, facilitating learning from normal work, and promoting modern safety concepts such as Safety II and Safety Differently. Acting as a back-to-back for the Program Lead, the Coach provides continuity and support in delivering HOP initiatives without assuming the full scope of the Lead’s responsibilities.
This position will be mainly offshore traveling to different rigs while working out of the Aberdeen office.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:- Be present at operational sites to coach and reinforce HOP principles in real time.
- Support frontline teams in applying Safety II, Learning from Normal Work, and resilience-based practices during daily operations.
- Facilitate reflection sessions, learning reviews, and informal coaching moments to capture insights and drive improvement.
- Act as a back-to-back for the Human & Organizational Performance Program Lead to maintain continuity of HOP deployment and cultural reinforcement.
- Model desired behaviors and cultural principles consistently through conversations and engagement activities.
- Assist in the delivery of HOP-related training and awareness sessions for rig teams and other operational personnel.
- Contribute to the evolution of HOP frameworks by sharing field insights and participating in program updates.
- Promote psychological safety and wellbeing by fostering open communication and trust within teams.
- Strong understanding of Human and Organizational Performance principles and modern safety concepts.
- Experience in operational environments (preferably offshore or high-risk industries).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
- Ability to coach, mentor, and influence behaviours at the frontline.
- Experience mentoring or coaching teams in operational environments.
- Ability to support cultural reinforcement through structured and informal learning sessions.
- Skilled in promoting psychological safety and wellbeing within teams.
- Ability to work in varied environments, including office settings and operational sites.
- Willingness and ability to travel to field locations, including domestic, international and offshore facilities as required.
