Serve as a safety operational leader, instructor, and coach—providing direct support to 3C Coaches and regional management by embedding safety and performance into day-to-day operations. This role provides expert support in operational safety management while ensuring effective implementation of Noble’s Safe System of Work and 3C process Reporting to the Operations Performance Team, this position independently assesses 3C implementation across rigs, identifies performance gaps, and drives continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Minimum of five years of relevant experience in offshore operations including operational safety experience.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements impacting offshore operations, including ISM and ISPS codes.
- In-depth knowledge of system dynamics related to operational safety and performance.
- Proven ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization—from corporate leadership and division managers to offshore personnel, regulators, and clients.
- Exceptional interpersonal, facilitation, and motivational skills, with a demonstrated ability to influence and drive engagement.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant operational or reporting software.
- High level of integrity and professionalism in all interactions and decision-making.
- Willingness and ability to travel (estimated 25%), including domestic, international, and offshore assignments.
Essential Functions
- Lead the implementation of the 3C process on assigned rigs using approved coaching materials and by actively engaging rig personnel.
- Coordinate, facilitate, and deliver in-house training sessions to build competency in 3C practices and Noble’s safe system of work.
- Support both offshore and onshore teams within the assigned region in maintaining compliance with Noble’s operational policies and procedures.
- Plan, conduct, and document assessments related to the 3C process, operational safety practices, and compliance with Noble’s management system requirements.
- Perform personnel assessments for rig leadership teams in alignment with 3C execution and safety system expectations.
- Serve as a primary point of contact and subject matter expert for operational safety and 3C-related inquiries from the field.
- Provide coaching on effective communication, procedural discipline, the 3C process, and other performance-related programs.
- Monitor internal practices and external factors to identify improvement opportunities and report findings to the Operations Performance team.
- Complete and submit detailed 3C assessments and project reports to Operations leadership for review and action.
- Promote and support the adoption of best practices related to Noble’s 3C methodology and integrated safety-performance systems across the organization.
