We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Assistant to join our finance team on a part-time basis. Working 16 hours per week, you will be responsible for supporting the accounts payable function, ensuring supplier invoices are processed accurately and payments are made on time. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised individual with strong numerical skills and previous finance or accounts payable experience.
Key Responsibilities- Process supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
- Match invoices to purchase orders and delivery notes where applicable.
- Reconcile supplier statements and investigate discrepancies.
- Prepare payment runs for sign off by management.
- Prepare inter company recharge invoices across the group.
- Respond to supplier queries professionally and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems.
- Support the wider finance team with administrative tasks as required.
- Ensure compliance with company financial policies and procedures.
- Previous experience in an Accounts Payable, Finance Assistant, or similar role.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good numerical and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
- Experience within a fast-paced business environment.
- Strong communication skills.
- Experience using accounting software such as Xero, Sage, or similar.
- AAT qualification.
