What You'll Be Doing
As a Support Worker, you will support individuals to achieve their personal goals and live as independently as possible. Responsibilities will vary depending on the individual you are supporting and may include:
- Supporting healthy lifestyles, including activities, nutrition, and hydration
- Encouraging community involvement, such as work, education, social groups, and leisure activities
- Supporting individuals to go on holiday and attend events
- Promoting safety and wellbeing at home and in the community
- Supporting individuals to build and maintain positive relationships
- Managing and reducing risks while promoting positive risk-taking
- Supporting emotional regulation and responding appropriately on challenging days
- Implementing support strategies for behaviours that may challenge, in line with Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) plans
- Assisting with daily living skills, including shopping, budgeting, and money management

- Have experience supporting individuals with complex needs and behaviours that may challenge
- Are confident, calm, and consistent in their approach
- Are resilient, optimistic, and positive
- Are creative and flexible in how they provide support
- Value teamwork and reflective practice
- Experience within supported living, learning disability, autism, or mental health services is highly desirable. However, we remain committed to investing in the right people through training, mentoring, and ongoing development.
- A full UK driving licence is essential, as the role involves driving company vehicles and supporting individuals in the community.
