We're looking for a compassionate, organised and proactive Community Welfare Administrator to join our dedicated team.
This is a varied role combining office-based administration with community visits, where you'll play a vital part in supporting the health, wellbeing and independence of our service users.
You'll work closely with our care teams, healthcare professionals, families and management to ensure care is safe, person-centred and delivered to the highest standards.

What You'll Be Doing
As our Community Welfare Administrator, you will
- Oversee and audit medication management to ensure safe and compliant practice.
- Liaise with GPs, pharmacies, district nurses and other healthcare professionals to coordinate effective care.
- Complete medication audits, EMAR checks and community-based reviews.
- Update care plans, risk assessments and medication records using our PASS care management system.
- Support service users with health and wellbeing needs, including nutrition, hydration, mobility and safe living environments.
- Identify concerns and make appropriate referrals to healthcare professionals including Occupational Therapists, SALT teams, Tissue Viability Nurses and specialist services.
- Support the introduction of new care packages and ensure smooth transitions for service users.
- Deliver medication training, competency assessments and mentoring for care staff.
- Carry out spot checks, supervisions and field-based support to maintain high standards of care.
- Attend multidisciplinary meetings with social workers, key workers and healthcare professionals.
- Communicate regularly with families, keeping them informed about their loved one's wellbeing.
- Assist with audits, quality assurance and continuous service improvement.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who has
- Experience within health or social care, ideally in domiciliary or community care.
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and electronic care management systems.
- A good understanding of medication management and person-centred care.
- Excellent communication skills and confidence working alongside healthcare professionals and local authorities.
- The ability to prioritise workloads and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- A compassionate, supportive and professional approach.
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, with willingness to travel across Bournemouth, Christchurch, Poole and parts of Dorset.
