Noatum Logistics is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to be based at our Egham or Tamworth site. During the probationary period, the expectation is that the successful candidate will be site based to build business knowledge and internal contacts. There is the opportunity to work flexibly from other Noatum locations and by agreement hybrid work once established.
We are looking for a talented and outgoing individual to join our dynamic Business Development team. Predominantly working with the Business Development Sales Managers and Executives, you will interact with the team with a specific focus on completing market and customer research, identifying potential new customers, qualifying making targeted phone calls to obtain and qualify leads for follow up to generate new business. You will also assist with day-to-day administration of the function, including ensuring Dynamics CRM is up to date for the team when travelling and holding and updating/supporting the creation of suitable customer sales material. You should have good knowledge of the suite of Microsoft tools, from Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. We will provide training in Dynamics CRM. As an Inside Sales Representative, you will also be responsible for all areas of the Commercial department’s monthly management reports of which training will be provided. You will also analyse data and support the Business Development Team through lead generation tools and business directories.
Key Functions / Areas of Responsibility:
- Market and customer research
- Customer identification and targeting
- Lead qualification (including financial credit check)
- Making targeted calls to obtain leads/new business
- Working with the Business Development Sales Managers and Executives on all areas of administration and data analysis
- Supporting the BD team through campaigns and initiatives
- Developing relationships with internal support teams, Product, Finance, Operations, etc.
- Developing and analysing data to determine how to better accommodate new and existing customers
- Performing research on accounts to help increase interest in the organisation
- Attending internal Commercial meetings
- Leverage Noatum Logistics service network and capabilities to optimise Client wins
Your Experience:
- Experience of working in the Logistics industry
- Proficiency with various Computer Software Systems
- Ability to comfortably talk to others via telephone
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Good time management and organisational skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Proficient with MS-Office products, especially MS Excel
- Travel throughout the UK may be required so having access to a vehicle is desirable
