Overview
We are currently looking for a People Partner to join our People Team focusing on our Biggleswade Contract Logistics site. The role will report into our UK People Director and will have a 1 site-based HR Advisor reporting into them. The role will be based at our Biggleswade site with occasional travel to our other sites in Medway, Purfleet, Egham and Tamworth may be required.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR professional, with a strong background in a People Partnering role to make a significant impact on our business.
Monday to Friday (to be based on site min 4 days a week)
Duties involved but not limited to are:
- Work as a trusted partner to the Site Management team at Biggleswade providing strategic and operational support to the business, whilst developing a first-class generalist HR service
- Support the business in developing and delivering strategic people plans
- Analyse HR data/metrics, trends and market analysis to inform decision making and recommend improvements/actions
- Assist with recruitment, selection and long-term resource planning
- Manage complex employee relations cases
- Drive a high-performance culture through effective performance and talent management processes
- Promote employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives
- Drive equality, diversity and inclusion initiatives
- Drive strategies to support the development, engagement and retention of our colleagues
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement HR Strategies to support our business objectives
- Ensure our HR practices are aligned with our business goals and values
Skills and experience required:
- Proven generalist HR experience in a multi-site business
- You must have solid experience of new business implementations and change management, in a growth environment
- Must have a strong understanding of TUPE legislation and be able to evidence previous experience of the effective management of end-to-end TUPE processes (both in and out)
- Be able to demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of HR best practice and employment legislation
- Experience of logistics or a similar environment
- Ideally CIPD qualified
- Demonstrate highly effective coaching and influencing skills
- You must be commercially astute and have the ability to think strategically
