Here at No.42 Margate by GuestHouse, we’re a small but stylish, family-run boutique hotel, and we’re looking for a Night Porter who’s equal parts dependable, discreet and delightfully unflappable.
What you’ll be doing:
- Welcoming late arrivals and ensuring they feel instantly at home.
- Keeping the hotel secure, serene and spotless throughout the night.
- Assisting guests with requests (yes, even the quirky ones).
- Handling hotel banking, including cash reconciliation, balancing takings and completing nightly financial checks.
- Preparing for the morning shift and supporting overnight operations.
- Being the calm presence when everyone else is asleep.
What we’re looking for:
- Previous experience in hospitality or night work (but attitude counts more than titles).
- A reliable, responsible nature and a knack for quiet efficiency.
- Someone who can handle a surprise fire alarm or a lost room key with a smile.
- Tech-savvy enough to navigate our booking system (even in low light).
- A sense of humour and a love for Margate’s creative, coastal vibe.
