Key Responsibilities
- Brand Leader
- To ensure the guest welcome and guest experience is memorable and exceptional; developing a loyal following of returning guests who love what we do.
- To develop and maintain policies and procedures which adhere to No.131 standards
- To lead by example in appearance, attitude, and professionalism
- To ensure brand standards and quality is maintained and protected; ensuring all furniture, silverware, books and decorations are kept well, stocks are recorded, maintenance kept up to date, renovations and furnishings are up to date and on point
- Finance & Stock Management
- To take understand and be fully accountable for the Profit & Loss (P&L) of the Hotel @ 131
- To manage the rota to ensure smooth service delivery; ensuring accurate forecasting, heatmapping, budgeting, rota planning, and cost management
- Manage stock and ordering effectively and efficiently and be fully accountable for stocktake within the Hotel @ 131, ensuring that wastage is kept to a minimum
- To adhere to company policy regarding nominated suppliers, purchase orders, and cash policies
- To adhere to accounts policies and requests from the Finance Department
- To adhere to the company’s financial policies and procedures re. company expenditure, cash handling and banking processes
- To ensure the company payroll policy is followed and adhered to; ensuring any discrepancies are followed up and dealt with immediately
- To deliver accurate financial reports according to the Company procedures
- To ensure that all stock, uniform and other company items are monitored, accounted for and treated with the utmost respect (informing staff that they have the same responsibility)
- To deliver invoices in a timely manner as per company policy
- To manage suppliers as per agreed budgets and policy procedures
- People Management
- To take responsibility for the day-to-day management of the Hotel @ 131 team
- To take responsibility for the recruitment and selection of talented and highly skilled staff
- To manage the induction process of new starters within your area in accordance with company policy
- To manage develop and encourage the team to excel above and beyond expectations through training and succession plans to retain and motivate staff
- To manage performance issues and escalating concerns as per company policy
- To ensure people management processes are followed as per company policy re. sickness absence, family friendly policies, holidays, performance reviews, grievance etc.
