We’re now looking to recruit
a superstar Maintenance Assistant
(Handy Person)
, to work alongside our Maintenance Manager, ensuring that the hotel is in ship-shape working order and ready to
welcome our guests, supporting us in maintaining the go-to stay destination in York.

The Job

No two days will be the same, you could be painting a wall one
moment, changing light bulbs by lunchtime then trying to fix a leaky showerhead
in the afternoon, all whilst juggling last-minute requests from Housekeeping/Reception,
multi-tasking is certainly the key to this role.

This is a part-time job consisting of 20 hours per week, that
will include weekend shifts.

A bit about you

So, what does it take to
be our new Maintenance Assistant? You must want to
be the best at what you do. Be proud of doing things the right
way, even when no one is looking. In other words, be:

Hard working and driven

·
Have a GENUINE passion for hospitality and ensuring everything is in good working order.

·
Have at least 2 years’ experience working in a maintenance function, if you have experience in hotel maintenance, even better!

·
Have the “knack” to get things fixed,
with a basic understanding of mechanical, electrical systems and works to support
this.

·
Passion for
creating a warm welcome, whilst
having meticulous attention to detail

·
Be genuine and a real team player. That one is non-negotiable!
