Gynaecology Outpatients

The Gynaecology Outpatient Department (GOPD) consists of specialist clinics that manage a range of conditions, includinggeneral gynaecology, urogynaecology, and oncology.

The department consists of consultations as well as minor procedures.

You will work alongside a team of Consultant Gynaecologists who work within the department, each bringing expertise in their own area of specialism.

Patients are supported throughout their visit by a dedicated team of experienced gynaecology nurses, ensuring high-quality and continuous care.

In addition, the Gynaecology Oncology service offers ongoing support to oncology patients throughout their treatment pathway, with specialist staff present during oncology clinics to provide tailored care and guidance.

Main duties of the job

  • To support the delivery of a high quality, safe and compassionate healthcare service, all staff are expected to act as a role model to others in all aspects of their work and consistently demonstrate NNUH's 'PRIDE' values of People focused, Respect, Integrity, Dedication and Excellence and demonstrate behaviours that support and encourage an inclusive culture.

  • To demonstrate effective, clear and accurate communication with patients and their families, to ensure they are kept up to date with the plans for care.

  • To manage the care of a group of patients, demonstrating good planning and organisational skills.

Throughout patient treatment and care journey, including admission and discharge.
