We are seeking an enthusiastic Health Care Support Worker to join our busy gynaecology ward, providing high-quality care to women undergoing a range of surgical and medical treatments.
This is an exciting opportunity to work within a friendly multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering safe, respectful, and patient-centred care.
Cley Gynaecology Cley Gynaecology is 16-bedded gynaecology surgical ward with a gynaecology emergency pathway.
We provide careand treatment for a wide range of patients with gynaecological conditions, including urogynaecology and oncology.
We care for patients pre and post operatively.
We also care for those experiencing early pregnancy complications includinghyperemesis miscarriage and terminations.
Main duties of the job,
Main duties
- Assisting patients with personal care and daily living activities
- Supporting registered nurses with clinical duties and patient observations
- Maintaining patient comfort, dignity, and privacy at all times
- Preparing equipment and ensuring a clean, safe ward environment
- Providing emotional support to patients and relatives
- Accurately documenting care and reporting concerns appropriately, To support the delivery of a high quality, safe and compassionate healthcare service, all staff are expected to act as a role model to others in all aspects of their work and consistently demonstrate NNUHs PRIDE values of People focused, Respect, Integrity, Dedication and Excellence and demonstrate behaviours that support and encourage an inclusive culture.
